No matter the age, you cannot count on your children being that perfect little angel you know they are, all the time! Therefore, my tip for all parents and grandparents, STAY CALM. Whether you have the shy one who likes to hide or the rowdy one that can't sit still, we'll work thru your session and you will be amazed at what we can do!
First, schedule your children's portraits around their routine. If at all possible, come in during your their best play time.
If your children behave better for someone else, bring that person in!
And most importantly, be ready to get down and play! The best way to bring out your children's smiles is for you to be smiling too! This can be a little work on your part, but if you are willing to be silly, we'll get the job done!

Your Session
- Mini Sessions are 20-30 minutes long, all other kids sessions will last an hour. During a typical session we will shoot approximately
100-300 frames.
- Following your session, I personally review all of the images from the session and carefully choose a number of photos for your viewing. This selection of photos may be cropped, color corrected, played up and if you choose, retouched before your review of the photos.
- Throughout your review of the photos, you will have the opportunity to discard any additional photos that you personally do not care for.
- After your final selection, you have up to 10 days to review your choices and place a print order.
Helpful Tips
Outdoor Clothes
- Busy patterns or prints and loud colors can be distracting in your portraits. Avoid large & bold patterns that might tend to draw attention away from your face.
Props
- We have a variety of props (chairs, ladders, stools, etc.) on-hand in our studio, plus for outdoor sessions we will utilize available props (outer walls, steps, gates, etc.) to give you a wide range of backgrounds.
- However, we encourage you to bring in your own props (sports & hobby items) to ensure your portraits are as personal as they can be!
Furthermore, there is NO CHARGE to bring in your own items!
- Sample props::Musical Instruments, Vehicle: car, truck, bike, etc. (outdoor only), Leather Jacket, Sports items: uniform, helmet, shoes, awards, balls, etc., Cheerleader items: uniform, poms, megaphone, stands, etc., Pet (outdoor only)
